ALL CLASSES ARE POSTPONED,

and will resume as soon as

it is deemed safe to do so.

Come on your own, or sign up your favorite kid side-kick to join you, for this basics class, intended for those who have not taken a photography class before. There are four retreat days available. Each retreat will help you understand what the dials and buttons on your digital camera do. Composition and in-camera techniques to create out-of-this-world photographs will also be discussed. No complicated discussions dealing with lighting equipment or processing

software.

After the two-hour session in the morning, there will be an hour lunch break.

Students are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch to be enjoyed in the KAC’s beautiful gallery. Light refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the day. After lunch, another two-hour learning session begins. Each retreat is designed as a standalone class; there are no prerequisites. Instructor Zach Lewis, a local photographer, educator and writer, will guide you through the world of digital photography using the DSLR camera you already own or one borrowed from the KAC. Cameras are on hand at the KAC for those who don’t have a camera of their own yet.
