Evening Yoga + Oils Class

with Catherine Hood

Our newest instructor, Catherine Hood, will be leading our evening yoga class that incorporates essential oils. While it is not mandatory to participate in the use of the oils during class, they have been shown to help create a sacred atmosphere, promote relaxation, concentration, or deeper meditation.

Experience a full Yoga + Oils class combining the energetic benefits and emotional benefits of therapeutic grade essential oils and the healing aspects of yoga. All practitioner levels are welcome! We will enjoy Young Living‘s pure essential oils throughout our practice and there will be plenty of opportunity to learn more about the unique exploration of using essential oils to promote a deeper response on the mat.

  • Catherine will be available after class for those interested in learning more about the oils.

Yoga with Your Youngster

Our Yoga with Your Youngsters classes offer moms, dads and caregivers the opportunity to have fun and get fit with your little ones. The class will include stretching, balance and flexibility exercises. Catherine’s yoga poses are styled to suit for any yogi; beginner to advanced.

Our POSTNATAL YOGA session (infant to 2 years) serves as an avenue for “getting back in shape,” but also is a compliment to your new life as a parent or caregiver. You may find that your anxiety is reduced, you’re more centered, and the true harmony of it all as you bond with your child.

Our TODDLER YOGA session leads you and your child (2 – 4 years) through meditation, focus and breathing techniques while moving through various yoga poses.

Finally, for kids 4 – 10 years old we have KIDS YOGA + DANCING!

Kids Yoga and Dancing to The Wiggles? Hey! What a great combo! My name is Catherine and I’ll be offering a kids yoga class, every Monday night in April. So, what’s up with The Wiggles too? Well, all of their music is action based. Which means, there’s lots of movement involved. I want to teach the kids how fun yoga is, while giving them a chance to move freely through dance! This will be a good introduction to yoga, so no worries if they’ve never done it before. My class will encourage imaginative play, remind them to have always have fun and build self esteem with positive affirmations.

Comfortable clothes, a towel or mat, and a desire to enjoy some bonding time with your little one are a must!

  • Parents / Guardians must be participate in classes with children under the age of 4.

Three age groups are offered:

  1. Post-Natal* to 18 Months
    • *Baby must be able to hold their head up on their own
  2. 18 Months  to Pre-K
  3. Kids Yoga: 4-10 years old

About our new instructor: Catherine Hood

I am a 225 HR certified Yoga Instructor as well as a Pre/Post Natal Yoga Instructor. I am a wife to my best friend and Mama bear to my 16 month old baby boy. I love nature, adventure, family, yoga and oils…I’m interested in healing through love, movement, breath, oils and community. There is always room for growth. I hope you can join me on the mat!
